About Shane

I began my work as a psychotherapist in 2007 and received my degree from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. I have since dedicated myself to ongoing personal and professional development so that I may offer expert care to the people I work with. I have a California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (CA LMFT #82036) and I took post-graduate training with the Hakomi Institute of California, Holos Institute, the AEDP Institute, and the Stephen Mitchell Relational Study Center. My work is grounded in contemporary psychodynamic/psychoanalytic theory, with close attention to attachment and development, trauma and dissociation, identity in social context, and the body. But while theory and technique are essential to the success of any psychotherapy treatment, it is the daily experience of sitting with people as they work hard to create meaningful lives that teaches me the most about what we need in order to grow.

With a liveliness and warmth, you will find that I am an engaged participant, committed to the process of helping you learn more about yourself and to move toward more of what you want in life. It is my goal to accompany you in the moments of gentle discovery as well as in the moments that require a genuine grappling with difficult truths.
