About Me
The seeds of becoming a psychotherapist were germinated in my family of origin. I was raised in the US Midwest to a large Middle Eastern and Italian family and was guided to living a life of service. In that context, I cultivated a sensitivity to interpersonal dynamics and became interested in what creates psychological and physical health. As a young adult, I became involved in local environmental and social justice movements, and finding that I naturally gravitated toward supporting those who were ‘on the front lines’, I made the decision to become a therapist.
I have dedicated myself to ongoing personal and professional development in order to offer expert support to my clients. I received a Master of Arts degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and took post-graduate training with the Hakomi Institute of California, Holos Institute, the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, and the AEDP Institute. My ongoing interest is focused in the Relational Psychoanalytic tradition. Aside from formal training, however, it is the daily experience of sitting with people as they work hard to create meaningful lives that continues to teach me the most about what we need in order to heal and grow.
