The seeds of becoming a psychotherapist were germinated in my family of origin. I was raised in the US Midwest to a large Italian and Middle Eastern family and was guided to living a life of service. At the same time, I had an innate sensitivity to the feelings of others. As a young adult, I became involved in local environmental and social justice movements, and finding that I naturally gravitated toward supporting those who were ‘on the front lines’, I made the decision to become a therapist.
I received a Master of Arts degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. I have extensive post-graduate training with the Hakomi Institute of California, the AEDP Institute, Holos Institute, and the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have practices in both Berkeley and Pacifica. Prior to maintaining a private practice, I worked in community mental health agencies and the public school system as both clinician and director.
